About Jenni

Hello, friend! I’m so glad you’re here. I will be honest, I’m not one to talk about myself much. I much prefer listening. But, since you want to know a little bit about me, here’s a quick overview…

First and foremost, I am a woman saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and strive to live for the glory of God in all that I do.

I am a wife, mother and writer.

My fascination with all things domestic helps me take pleasure in being a homemaker…most of the time.

I enjoy deep conversations (small talk renders me speechless), taking photos (when I remember to charge the camera) and hiking in the great outdoors (provided I have taken allergy medicine).

Oh, and daisies make me smile.

My Background

Because of my love for words and culture, I earned an A.A. in English and a B.A. in Spanish with an emphasis in International Studies.

I’ve held a wide variety of job titles in the past, such as:

• Library clerk - I have always been a book worm.
• Barista - Me? Addicted to coffee? Yes, I used to be.
• Supervisor - I’m great a bossing others around… Ha! (I am the oldest of four kids, you know.)
• Missionary - A perfect combination of Jesus, people and traveling around the world.

I have to say, serving as Associate Director/Missions Coordinator for a year at a collegiate ministry was one of the most rewarding (and challenging) jobs I had before getting married and becoming a mommy. I was fortunte enough to have the opportunity to travel to several places, including Mexico, South America and Central Asia.

After that, God closed the doors for me to serve in full-time missions and I started talking to an old friend, which leads me to…

My Family

My husband, Matt, and I have known each other for over fifteen years. As we were growing up, he was my best friend’s brother and he finally convinced me to marry him almost three years ago. Marriage has been a rewarding journey, even in the difficult moments. I couldn’t ask for a more loving, understanding and compassionate husband.  His passion to boldly share the Truth with others inspires me every day.

I am a stay-at-home mama to our daughter, Claire. She is a very active and intelligent toddler with fiery red hair, bright blue eyes and a strong personality. Our little blessing keeps me on my toes and fills our home with joy and laughter.

Although my life isn’t what I expected, I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.  God has truly blessed me far above all I could hope or imagine.
